Platja Es Arenals

Es Arsenal is by far the most popular beach on the southern coast of Formentera. You can reach it moving forward from Migjorn towards east, in the direction of the promontory La Mola. This beachfront has the great advantage of being very close to the fully equipped urban centre of Mar y Land (also called Maryland), which is provided with majestic and modern hotel complexes. Es Arsenal is famous for its beauty, with bright white sand and a wonderful sea, and it is no doubt a top destination for tourists. Speaking of the area of La Mola: in case it is sunny it’s worth walking a bit farther (about fifteen minutes) to visit the lighthouse (Far de La Mola) in the eastern part of the island, which overlooks the cliff, offering a wonderful view.
